Our neighbors, Mark and Kelly, are about the age of our children. They moved in recently where our "bad" neighbors used to live and we are very happy with them. Not only are they just plain 'ole nice, their views on life and the world are similar to ours in many areas. Mark and Saeed communicate the most since they often see each other outside.
If I got the story right, Mark found a chicken walking around in his office recently (yes, you read it correctly.) He called Kelly to ask her what to do. Kelly is a real animal person who raised lots of critters growing up so of course her advice was to bring the chicken home! Mark brought her home and built her an enclosure that allows her access to warmth as well as the outside yard. So we are the happy neighbors of not just Mark & Kelly but a chicken too! (and two dogs & two cats.)

"Gandom" in Farsi, which is wheat seeds/kernels. Not sure that was her favorite thing though, it's just what we had available. What do chickens eat?

Maybe Cyrus and Kai can help me grow some grass for her. Saeed
They love to peck at fruit rinds, like watermelons and other juicy fruits. I think we should have offered her some water. Saeed

Well, it's one chicken and she stayed close to the house so our kitties, had they been looking out the window, would not have been able to see her. If she ever ventures out into the back yard then yes, there is that entertainment possibility!
