The walls needed repainting for several reasons: they hadn't been repainted since we'd moved in and the guys that Saeed hired to pull the wallpaper off the in the kitchen and paint and refinish the ceiling left all sorts of damage behind:
Our popcorn ceiling also had bald patches.
We moved all the furniture toward the center and covered the entertainment center with painters paper. Poor Saeed is resting while looking at the job ahead.
Tippy thought it was all great fun and investigated the new terrain.
Chappu did the same.
The ceiling work was back-breaking arm-numbing work but Saeed did it.
He painted himself as well. Cutie.
So now it's kind of a puke golden color.
To take this picture I woke up precious Tippy who was peacefully napping. Sorry bubsy.
It looked really good on the swatch... (said with a whining tone.)
We hung new pictures since our old ones were tattered; the blues in them pick up the blues in our Persian rugs very nicely. These were going to be thrown away from my office when they redecorated with more modern art and management was happy someone was willing to take them. If we ever want to replace the pictures the frames are really nice.
Ahhh, Tita's forest pixie. We'll never replace this one.
So now it's documented. I think if I were to repaint I'd choose a creamy tan color with just a hint of golden, sort of like French vanilla ice cream. This mustard color will stay for a while only because the thought of doing this all again is depressing.

We'll help you paint again before you decide to sell the place. :)
