Lonely Leaf

Usually the autumn colors in this part of the country are stunning. This year we've had a drought and the colors will probably be dismal. I found this brave leaf yesterday trying to lead the way, hoping its mates will follow. I'm hoping it's just early, that more brilliant colors will follow, but I won't hold my breath.

Shirin Modaresi said...: Our leaves haven't started to change yet either, but we are even farther south. It's definitely getting a little cooler (thanks God) and I am really looking forward to fall. I'm dying to go to LEAF music and arts festival in October, but it falls on a weekend before a 3-exam week. Still, I'm just dying to go. I wonder if I could manage?
