The Obama Family Pooch

So, what kind of dog will the first family select? I'm happy (if my info is accurate) to hear that pres-elect Obama has agreed to adopt a rescue dog as opposed to purchasing a breeders dog. In light of the story about the reporter that was bitten by GW's dog yesterday, I think Obama needs to enlist Caesar Milan's help in selecting a calm, confident dog from a rescue agency that will send a message to all animal lovers out there:

Get a companion animal from the shelter and then care for it well. Since the Obama family will be setting issue trends they might as well include animal welfare.
