Arabic Soup Wannabe

Saeed was trying to reproduce our favorite soup at the Egyptian restaurant and came up with something delicious, but different. Perfect on a cold day. The crucial ingredient is the type of lentil used, a red lentil. The black things you see are sauteed onions, the kind you'll find on Persian soups, so these are of his doing. Those caramelized onions are so super yummy; they are the crowning touch. He said he would try again to replicate our Egyptian friend's soup - go for it boy. It always turns out good.

I wanna try to make it too! This soup looks awesome, as well as the Egyptian soup I had last week. I will make a point of getting some red lentils very soon.
